An Ode To A Friend

This was not meant to be here. I had plans for another write-up as my debut but this was a shorter, more intense and written in one of my most emotional time. It is too raw, but i hope it touches the heart of the readers and those that value true friendship.






To my best friend:

World apart
Yet we chose a common path
To love and share
Everything about who we are


Far away you can be if you must
For this love can never rust
All it boils down to is a little trust
And this friendship won't turn to dust


If out of sight you have to stay
Rapture might be on it's way
Because without you the day is grey
A day i can't wait to go away


A spring in the desert
To quench my thirst
A guide in the forest
Away from the wildlife beyond


We will never give up or say goodbye
For the planetary bodies rotate in the sky
So is your heart part of me and mine of you
With that alone, we shall not be blue
